Installing printers on your computer

Note: To gain access to the printers at your school, you will need to be at school, and connected to the school network. This article applies to the following locations:
Austrey, Bentley Heath, Coleshill, Hawkesley, Nethersole, Newton Regis, Nonsuch, Quinton, St. Clements, St. Georges Newtown, St. Margaret's, St. Michael's Bartley Green, Warton, Woodside, and the BDMAT Central Office.

Installing Printers

Printers are available to install using Print Deploy. You can get Print Deploy from the company portal. If you have a newer laptop, then Print Deploy may already be on your device. If so, you'll find it in the system tray.

Click on the Print Deploy icon, then click View my Printers.

Print Deploy will then ask you to sign in using your email address & password.

Once you've entered your username and password, Print Deploy will automatically install your printers.

Follow-me printing

Follow-me printing allows you to print and then collect your printing from the nearest copier.

At Holy Trinity, St Margaret's, St. Clement's, Coleshill & St. Michael's, Bartley Green, there are two follow-me printers:

• Follow-me (Mono)
• Follow-me (Colour)

The "Follow-me (Mono)" printer is your default printer, and will automatically convert all print jobs to greyscale. The "Follow-me (Colour)" printer will allow you to print in colour.

At all other schools, there is a single follow-me printer for this purpose:

• BDMAT Follow Me

Note: printing or copying in colour costs ten times more than printing in greyscale.

At some schools, there are direct print queues that have additional features such as stapling or booklet finishing. These are not yet available everywhere; work is planned for Summer 2023 to roll this out at the remaining locations.
